This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit kilo-drones.de or contact us, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, through its content delivery network. When you open a page, your browser sends technical information that is processed to deliver the page and to keep the service secure: IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, referrer URL, and browser and operating system information.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses included in that agreement. Log data is kept only as long as needed for these purposes.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking or advertising tools. Fonts and all other assets are served from our own domain, so no requests are made to third-party servers when you visit.

Contact by email and applications

If you email us, for example with your CV and a few lines about yourself, we process the data you send (such as your name, email address, the content of your message and any attachments) to answer you and, for applications, to decide on your participation in the team.

Emails to info@kilo-drones.de are received by Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc., address above) and forwarded to the mailboxes of the team members who handle them. Cloudflare only forwards the messages and does not store their content. These mailboxes are currently hosted by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), so Google also processes your message. Data may be transferred to the USA; Cloudflare and Google are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for applications and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. We delete application documents no later than six months after a decision, unless you agree to us keeping them longer. Other messages are deleted once your request is resolved, unless legal retention periods apply.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• have it rectified (Art. 16 GDPR) or erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restrict its processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• receive it in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR), and
• lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
